After some careful consideration I'm going to redo my website for my railway photograph's, currently all images are in monthly collections (ie January 2012, February 2012 etc etc), but have decided to do my railway shots into 5 main categories, these are:

MAINLINE FREIGHT.

This collection will consist of - well as it says - freight trains photographed in a calendar year, including light engines and locomotives in freight sidings such as Hams Hall or Bedworth

MAINLINE STEAM.

This collection will feature steam locomotives on the mainline whether it's a loco positioning move or a charter.

MAINLINE CHARTERS, TEST TRAINS AND SPECIALS.

I was at one point going to keep a separate collection for test trains but thought it be more economical to add them with charters and specials. Basically this collection will feature photograph's of rail tours, test trains and rare one-off moves including preserved loco convoys and ECS moves.

MAINLINE PASSENGER.

A straight forward collection, this collection will contain unit photograph's as well as loco-hauled passenger trains (timetabled passenger services only) and HST's, charter trains will go in the relevant collection.

PRESERVED.

Photo's of locomotives that have been preserved (and on preserved lines only). In the event of Diesel and Steam Gala's, these will feature in their own collection on the RAILWAY EVENTS gallery. 

This new set up will only apply to photo's from 2006, prior to that any other photo's will stay in the Railway Archive collection.

The reason for this is because I sometimes don't get out much some months as I do others and as such some collections can be smaller than others, obviously if anyone wishes to view a loco or working then please use the search function on the site to take you straight to it :).
