A visit to the site where the Great Central Mainline from Manchester and Sheffield to London Marylebone once crossed the Midland Counties Railway from Leicester to Rugby. The Midland Counties line shut in 1962, whilst this section of the Great Central Mainline closed in 1969 when the DMU shuttle service between Nottingham and Rugby was axed. As can be seen from the photo's, nature is well and truly taking over the site.
