It's been a while since I took the drone out, so this afternoon in some glorious light, I did just that.
For a good couple of years now, there has been a dark cloud hanging over this part of Leicestershire - a cloud in the shape of a warehouse complex and railfreight terminal. However, thanks to endless protests and argument by local residents and councillors, in March 2025, the plans were finally rejected by the Secretary Of State. That means that this unspoilt area can continue to be enjoyed by local residents and indeed, by those from further afield.
