The trackbed in between Abbey Junction and the bridge over the West Coast mainline, access was denied as is used by Network Rail for maintenance on the West Coast Mainline.

However if current plans go through, this area will change when a new chord is constructed from the current Birmingham - Leicester line and join up with the West Coast Mainline further up. This will no doubt sever the trackbed at right angles
