With not many freight services running owing to the West Coast Mainline being shut, a couple of moves which commanded my attention was noticed running not that far apart from each other, most notable was 37521 which has recently been outshopped in LNWR Lined Black livery. Also photographed was a number of LNWR services - some strengthened to 12 coaches - running between Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham New Street. Former East Midlands Railway Class 222 Meridian; 222002 was also photographed doing runs between Preston and Milton Keynes Central in preparation for the upcoming LUMO services between London Euston and Stirling.
