Ideally I would like this to be the first port of call for visitors to this site as all updates and relevant links will be posted here, so therefore it will be easier to see my most recent pictures whether it be rail, road or miscellaneous photographs. Of course there is also the search facility on the site too in case you want to look for a specific loco number, vehicle registration plate or a keyword.

There will always be something happening on here, whether it's recent pics being uploaded or older negatives and slides being scanned on (more applicable to the railway side of things).

Hi Folks,

Not much has been happening of late due to a combination of poop weather, work and other commitments, but a couple of updates which I have managed to do.  Bank Holiday, May 4th seen the annual pilgrimage to the East of England Showground near Peterborough for the first Truckfest Show of 2015, as I arrived late in the morning, I spent most of the day outside the showground as most of the vehicles on display were departing then heading back to base ready for the start of the working week.

A first time shoot for me featuring aviation, in conjunction with a Timeline Events photo charter, I took part in the North Weald Fighters photo shoot at the North Weald Airfield in Essex which utilised 2 magnificently restored aircraft, these being:

  • North American P-51D Mustang 44-72035.
  • Hawker Hurricane MKIIB BE505.

We also had some fine re-enactor friends dressed in period clothing which of course, the shoot was set during the dark days of WWII, and for added interest there was some period correct vehicles as well.

Watch this space later this year for a couple more aviation shoots which will feature Lancaster Bomber Just Jane and the superb Vulcan at Wellesbourne in Warwickshire, I'm led to believe that the powers-that-be want to turn Wellesbourne Airfield into a housing estate in the future so  get those visits in while you can....
