October 24th seen a Timeline Events photo shoot at Wellesbourne Airfield in Warwickshire with Avro Vulcan MKII XM655 being the main focus of attention. Delivered to the RAF in late 1964, she was part of the UK's nuclear deterrent throughout the 1970's and 1980's. It is now permanently based at Wellesbourne Airfield and is looked after by the 655 Maintenance and Preservation Society (655MaPS).
The aim of 655MaPS is to keep this fine example of British engineering running for as long as possible and to raise much needed funds for her by showing her off to the public with fast taxi runs.
As always, we had a selection of re-enactors to act out cameo's of scenes which were very much part of RAF bases up and down the country.
